In 2010, I launched Opremisidom—an online furniture store—from my apartment in Slovenia. Interior design degree, furniture industry experience—but zero experience selling online.

Fast forward 15 years: 15,000+ products. Physical showroom. 7-figure annual revenue. A team.

But here's what nobody talks about: getting reliable numbers from existing tools was practically impossible.

Sure, I could see traffic in Google Analytics. Conversions in Google Ads. Orders in WooCommerce. But try to answer "which marketing actually drove this month's revenue?" and suddenly you're drowning in spreadsheets and conflicting numbers.

A customer sees a Meta ad. A week later, searches on Google. Clicks an organic link. Next day gets an email and buys. Who gets credit? Everyone. Google Ads claims the sale. Meta claims it too. The email platform claims it too. Meanwhile, my actual order count doesn't magically triple.

This isn't a minor annoyance when you're managing marketing budgets. It's the difference between scaling the right channels and wasting thousands on the wrong ones.

The SEO mystery

Even though I'd been in e-commerce for years, I didn't pay much attention to SEO—until I started blogging and affiliate marketing in 2017. That's where I really learned how organic traffic works.

I then successfully applied that knowledge to Opremisidom. Today, organic traffic is our most important channel—and I know how to handle every algorithm update Google throws our way.

So—I can pinpoint the technical reasons for drops or growth. But how much additional revenue does SEO actually bring? Nearly impossible to measure. Let alone figuring out how organic traffic assists conversions from other channels. Google doesn't tell you which keywords actually convert—and they delete the historical data after 16 months anyway.

The consulting wake-up call

In 2022, I started consulting for other e-commerce businesses. I expected to find a few stores with messy data. Instead, I found every single store struggling with the same problem.

CEOs who couldn't verify their agency's numbers. Agencies who couldn't prove their value. Marketing teams drowning in dashboards but starving for answers.

Why I built Enalitica

When I started consulting for other stores, I expected someone to have this problem solved. At least among those who hired me for SEO analysis—no one had a solution.

After more than six months of research and development, Enalitica was born. The tool I wished I had for those 15 years.
