UTM builder and validator
This free UTM builder assembles tagged campaign links from channel presets that follow a clean naming convention, and validates them the way the reports will: it shows which GA4 default channel group and which Enalitica order channel the click lands in, warns about the tagging mistakes nobody can fix retroactively, and fixes uppercase and spaces with one click. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type leaves the page.
UTM builder and validator
Build a tagged link from channel presets or paste an existing one. The tool shows which GA4 channel and which Enalitica channel the visit will land in, and flags the mistakes no report can fix retroactively.
✓ The tag is clean. This link will report exactly as written.
Pick a preset or fill the fields and the link assembles as you type.
How the UTM validator decides the channel
The GA4 verdict follows Google's locked channel definitions: the paid regex on utm_medium, the exact
Email medium list, and the source lists for search, social and video sites. The Enalitica verdict
follows the classifier that files real orders on our platform, which reads values case-insensitively
and accepts owner-friendly tags like newsletter. When the two verdicts differ, the warning
explains why, so you can pick a value both systems agree on before the campaign ships.
The full naming standard behind the tool, with a copy-paste table for every channel, lives in our UTM naming convention guide.
From clean links to attributed orders
A clean tag is half the work; the other half is a report that connects the tag to actual orders. Enalitica attributes every order to its channel using click IDs, UTM parameters and referrers, keeps unproven orders in an honest Unknown row, and shows the platforms' own numbers alongside for comparison.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the UTM builder and validator check?
Build a link from channel presets or paste any URL with UTM parameters, and the tool shows which GA4 default channel group and which Enalitica order channel the visit will land in, then flags uppercase letters, spaces, the newsletter medium, swapped source and medium, missing pairs and paid mediums with unrecognized sources, with a one-click auto-fix.
How is this different from Google's Campaign URL Builder?
Google's Campaign URL Builder concatenates whatever you type into a URL without judging it; a value like Email or newsletter passes through silently and lands in the wrong channel forever. This tool additionally shows the resulting GA4 and Enalitica channel before you send anything, ships channel presets that follow a tested naming convention, warns about the mistakes, and can fix casing and spaces for you.
Why does the UTM validator show two channels instead of one?
Because GA4 and order-based attribution read the same tag with different rules. GA4 matches its locked channel definitions (for example only email, e-mail, e_mail and e mail count as Email), while Enalitica classifies orders case-insensitively and accepts values like newsletter. Seeing both verdicts before a campaign goes live prevents surprises in both reports.
Does the UTM validator store the links I paste?
No. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you type is sent to a server, stored, or shared. Refreshing the page clears the input.
